Jackie,
Zak is writing down lyrics and he is SINGING them to the song that he’s writing! I encouraged him to write down the chords as well (so far just the B, A, G…).
You are such a great influence on him! He is playing gently on his strings and is practicing all the time! Thanks for being such a kind amd nurturing and motivating influence in his life! It takes a village, you know…
Mary

"i live about 5 miles south of Ragamuffin in Sandy Springs, and its so convient to me to have a venue so close to home to come up to play or watch shows and open mics. I also really love what Ragamuffin is all about, which to me is sharing music and being an outlet for listeners and artists seeking creative expression. The slogan 'Everbody has a song!" is not just their for show; Jackie and Mark and everyone involved at Ragamuffin really love music and what it to accesible to everyone. This attitude toward music is why, when I decided to finally get up and take voice lessons, I honestly could not think of a place that would be more creatively nuturing than Ragamuffin. I look forward to spending even more time up there in the future!"

Thank you so much for letting me play last night. I couldn't have been more nervous, so having a venue full of such warm and accomodating folks really meant a lot. I would love to do it again with some new songs. Between an upcoming vacation and work, I can't always stop by on Thursdays, but given the quality of talent that you attract, I will be back every chance I can. Ragamuffin Music is an outstanding contribution to the community of musicians and songwriters in North Atlanta. I couldn't close my eyes and dream of a happier place.
Thanks again, Russ Stanziale

Jackie, thanks for the opportunity to play last night. I was very taken by your environment. When I said "this reminds me of Greenwich Village", a place I know well, I meant it. I know most of the other performers from around town, the talent was excellent. You've done a nice thing. I intend to continue to support it and I wish you much success.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to play at Ragamuffin Saturday night. I must admit, I was quite intimidated by the fella's guitar playing - I figured I'd have to whip out something I could do that they couldn't ... so ya'll got my off-the-cuff acapella scat thing! Hahaha!!! It was such a joy to do. Almost everyone I knew went to the Tabernacle that night to hear Lyle Lovette, John Hiatt, Joe Ely, ... you know, some no-name players. LOL!! I told them I was glad they went to support struggling up and coming musicians, instead of hanging out with us famous folks.
There are bigger, fancier clubs than yours, and there are places with larger audiences, but there is no place that has the passion of a music lovers' heart like Ragamuffin Music. When I walk in your door, it feels like home.

Hi Jackie, Matthew and I were talking today (and last night) about how much we enjoyed the evening's atmosphere and audience. Thanks for having such a great live music venue and letting us be a part of it. It felt very much like a living room full of music lovers! Looking forward to playing for you again sometime.
