Chicago School of Music
The Chicago School of Music is a good place to go for all things music related. Students can try different instruments, find out what interests them the most, and explore more about any new curiosity they may have.
Located at Revier North and the Near North Side. Lessons are available for all, adults and children both with training for beginners as well as an advanced student. Teachers inspire their students to think outside-the-box and adapt to the different learning styles of each student.
Lessons are taught in an artistically motivated environment with high-level training for professionals. Chicago School of Music is easy to get to from anywhere in the city.
Founded in 1998 they have a comprehensive Private Lessons Program with a wide variety of instruments. Lessons are offered for a half-hour, 45 minutes, and 1-hour increments. With the longer lessons, more practice at home outside of the lessons should be strongly considered.

New Music School
At New Music School they encourage a highly fun, innovative, engaging atmosphere. Lessons can be at their downtown Chicago location, or even at your home.
Instruments taught include Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, and Tuba.
Piano lessons, for example, start from the first day with an emphasis based on core fundamentals. From there, students learn an expansive repertoire, all while keeping the fundamentals in mind.
New Music School piano students also are taught how the piano relates to all fine arts by working with professional dancers, vocalists, actors, and artists. They are then exposed to artist teachers with master classes.
Lessons are held at the downtown Chicago location as well as the satellite sites which are Lake Forest, Glenview, Highland Park, Oak park, Deerfield, Downers Grove, River Forest, and Wheaton. Programs are offered at Early Childhood, K-12, and Adult levels and all experience levels no matter what the age.
